Haskell’s is one of the most iconic names in the Twin Cities liquor business. Starting in 1934 from a single Minneapolis location (which, a year later, became the country’s first commercial importer of French wine) Haskell’s has grown all the way to the multi-store, Twin Cities success story they are today.
Over the course of multiple generations, Haskell’s has remained committed to providing unparalleled customer service. A prerequisite for working at Haskell’s is a genuine love and knowledge of quality wine.
The company website was in need of an extensive e-commerce features and functionality update. This was vital in order to promote the Haskell’s brand and keep pace with their rapid growth. Enter, Irish Titan.
The new Haskell’s site (hosted on Magento) serves two main purposes:
- It reinforces their brand and reputation as the premier wine shop in the Twin Cities.
- It efficiently sells carefully selected wine, spirits, beer, and cheese.
In order to mirror the wonderful Haskell’s in-store customer service online, a simple and seamless checkout experience was implemented.
A product inventory with an automatic daily update was activated. This works in tandem with an enhanced site-wide search function to provide customers quick and easy access to all available products.
Improved functionality for Haskell’s wide variety of shipping options was also created for customer ease of use. This included a local delivery selection, complete with automatic shipping rates based on bottle count, pack size, and destination.
We teamed up with our friends and neighbors, Storyteller Media + Communications for Haskell’s content marketing strategy. The blog, “The Pour”, features the latest news about wine, seasonal drink recipes, and the joys of drinking with family and friends. “The Pour” is hosted on the inbound marketing platform Hubspot, integrated seamlessly with Magento.
