Liberty Safe
Brief
For the past 36 years, Liberty Safe has been America’s number one safe manufacturer. Proudly made in America. Liberty Safe partnered with Irish Titan to refine, not expand, their existing tech stack. Through a comprehensive UX, performance, and ADA audit, we identified mobile interactivity gaps caused by previous layered integrations.
WHY
For established ecommerce brands like Liberty Safe, growth doesn’t always mean adding more tools. It often means making better use of what’s already there and reducing issues that come from overlapping integrations.
As tech stacks expand over time, apps may go underutilized, financing integrations raise conversion questions, scripts accumulate, and product pages become heavier and more complex. Internal marketing teams stay focused on what moves the brand forward, driving traffic and revenue, but rarely have the space to look back and evaluate whether every piece of the ecosystem is truly optimized.
This also opens up risks for compliance issues. Everyone deserves to use the internet. But overlapping apps can wreak havoc on accessibility devices like screen readers. ADA, plus a wide variety of emerging laws in California, Europe, and beyond, lawsuits are becoming more and more common (and more costly) for ecommerce brands.
The opportunity isn’t more technology. It’s removing friction, improving performance, and ensuring the existing stack is delivering real value. This UX initiative focuses on one core goal: Make the ecommerce experience faster, smarter, and more efficient, without adding unnecessary complexity.
HOW
We conducted a comprehensive performance and UX audit across Liberty Safe’s Home, Collection, and Product pages, evaluating both desktop and mobile experiences.
One of the largest opportunities we faced was website stability on Mobile when we analyzed load speed, interactivity, third-party dependencies, image handling, and accessibility standards.
While pages visually loaded within acceptable ranges, there was a noticeable delay between when the page appeared ready and when it became fully interactive. This gap can introduce friction, particularly on high-consideration product pages and on mobile, where speeds matter even more than desktop.
Our review found that cumulative technical complexity played a significant role. As with many established ecommerce brands, past layered integrations and evolving configurations had increased the weight of the website over time. While individual tools were not inherently problematic, the combined ecosystem required refinement to improve responsiveness and efficiency.
We also evaluated accessibility benchmarks to ensure that performance improvements would align with ADA best practices and preserve an inclusive user experience. The audit confirmed that the path forward was not additional technology, but intentional decluttering and optimization of the existing stack.
"I've worked with Irish Titan for a little over three years. Their team is very professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. I recently had them do a deep dive into our website performance. I've had tech and speed audits through other agencies, but none have produced the level of detail and actionable items that Irish Titan did. They always impress me." - Kyle Clause
WHAT
We uncovered a jungle of overlapping apps and legacy integrations that were slowing the site down and adding unnecessary complexity behind the scenes. Through a focused app audit and overlap analysis, we identified where tools were duplicating functionality or creating friction across the customer journey. From there, we delivered a clear, prioritized plan to streamline the ecosystem, cutting what wasn’t needed, protecting what mattered, and ensuring nothing critical broke along the way. The result? A leaner, faster platform with improved mobile performance, better stability, and a foundation built for scalable growth.
We set up connections with Edgemesh and AccessiBe to ensure both speed and accessibility, two critical improvements Liberty Safe needed. We forged an in-depth review of specific ways to increase site speed and interactivity. Enlisted imagine.io for better rendering, Liberty Safe’s brand is founded on high-quality but heavy graphics.
RESULTS
Conversion rate and revenue have been on a steady upward trajectory since implementing our recommendations. By refining the technical stack, improving mobile interactivity, and reducing performance friction across key pages, the overall shopping experience became faster and more responsive.
They’ve seen:
67% Drop in Time to First Byte
75% Improvement in Request Time
Plus decreases in first and last contentful paints
These optimizations created a smoother path to purchase (particularly on high-consideration product pages), resulting in measurable gains in both engagement and revenue performance. The improvements weren’t driven by adding new tools, but by making the existing ecosystem work smarter and more efficiently.
